The "great beach" near Saint-Gilles, is a long sandy beach facing west and stretching 3.6 kilometers of Pier de la Garenne to Brétignolles-sur-Mer.
In the center, a landscaped embankment has many bars and restaurants.
North and especially south lies a coastal dune marked by different routes.
